Description
This course covers a variety of issues related to employee benefits provided by employers. Some benefits are voluntary on the part of the employer while some benefits are required by law, such as Workers Compensation benefits. This course also looks at government required protection, such as HIPAA and COBRA. Course topics include:
Social insurance (Social Security, Unemployment),
Group insurance (HMO’s, PPO’s and MEWA’s),
Group Medicare Supplements,
Group Long-term Care insurance,
Group life insurance,
HIPAA, and
COBRA.
